  • 1990 Stick-Built Custom Home
  • 2,760 Square Feet on Three Levels
  • Four Bedrooms
  • Three Bathrooms
  • 3.28 Private Acres with View of Pacific Ocean
  • Broker Owned
  • $499,000

Located in the warmer, wind-protected north lakes area of Florence, this property sits on a ridge with a view of the Pacific Ocean. A country lane sets the home privately back from the road; lawns, paths, decks, fish ponds, flowering plants and trees on 3+ acres create the paradise. With four bedrooms and three bathrooms on three levels, the south-facing home provides wonderful separation of space and is flexible enough to offer two distinct living areas. There is a detached, oversized garage with a separate room that serves as an art studio, and a Japanese tea house facing west toward the ocean.

Originally built in 1990, the home, garage and tea house were re-roofed in 2005. The original wood siding on the home was replaced with cement-board siding in 2006. All buildings were repainted on the exterior that same year.

The oversized, two-car garage is detached from the house, but is easily accessible from the side kitchen door. The building to the left is referred to as the “Cabin”. It is attached to the garage and used as an art studio.

The Tea House faces directly toward the Pacific Ocean. There is neither electricity nor running water here, but the Japanese-style doors slide open to the deck and the outdoors beyond. This spot is perfect for a picnic, meditation, creativity, or simply sweet peace and quiet.

The master bedroom occupies the entire top floor. The kitchen, living room, dining room, guest bedroom and bath can be found on the middle floor. The lower level (a walk-out basement) is home to two additional bedrooms, a bathroom, laundry area and basement storage. This is very flexible space, however, and is currently used as separate living quarters (with a separate entrance), comprised of a bedroom, living room, eating area, in addition to the bath and laundry area.

The yards are spectacular, especially in the spring when the rhododendrons, daffodils and tulips are in bloom. Additionally, there are paths, lawns, fish ponds (one upper and one lower), decks, and trails.

A lane leads up to the home…making the property very private from the road.

And always, to the west, there is the Pacific Ocean (above and below). Each of this home’s three floors has a view similar to this. Click here for a much larger image of this view.
